The second adaptation following the 1990 ABC miniseries tells the horrible events in the town of Derry where local kids are disappearing one by one leaving behind bloody remains. The place known as “The Barrens”, a group of seven kids are united by their horrifying and strange encounters with an evil clown and their determination to kill it. The film is directed by Andres Muschietti and is based on Stephen King’s 1986 novel. “It” is written by Chase Palmer, Gary Dauberman, and Cary Fukunaga.
The bloodthirsty horror movie stars Pennywise a character that gets its identity from the novel of the same name. The costume in the film is also attributed to the origins of the film. “It” has been described as a no-nonsense film since the first release in 1986. The remake, which hits the cinemas this year is expected to be much more dramatic, scary and intensifying that the previous ones. The production of “It” has been going on since 2009 to date. The production has passed through different phases and the first phase was handled by Cary Fukunaga and David Kajganich (screenwriter). Andres Muschietti currently runs the work with Carry Fukunaga.
The film stars Bill Skarsgard as Pennywise, Finn Wolfhard, Sophia Lillis, Javier Botet, Jaeden Lieberher, Megan Charpentier, Nicholas Hamilton, Wyatt Oleff and Stevens Williams. The movie comes after twenty-seven years of the last original miniseries. There are many facts and doubts about the power of the novel “It”. It is said that Bill Skarsgard playing as Pennywise made 27 years and that is when the movie is returning. Jonathan Brandis, who acted as young Bill in the original film died after 27 years and also in the novel, It returns to the Derry town after 27 years. The teaser alone scored one hundred and ninety-seven views within a day of its release and it saw it compete with some of the big blockbusters like The Fate of The Furious. Skarsgard had to reveal the pressure he felt before filming for the movies. He thinks that Tim Curry was the best for the movie and was credited for it. More films are to be released after the first It is dropped in this year. It is produced by Barbara Muschietti, Roy Lee, Dan Lin, David Katzenberg, Seth Grahame-Smith alongside Lin Pictures and Vertigo Entertainment.
